Synthesis and characterization of MIL-125 MOFs and their carbon derivatives

This academic work, also from my beginnings at the University of the Balearic Islands (2018), focused on the most fundamental part: how to make and characterize MIL-125-type MOFs and the carbon materials obtained from them.

Before a material can be used to clean water or degrade pollutants, you have to master its synthesis and understand its structure well: what porosity it has, how it behaves, how to modify it.

That experimental foundation —learning to make and to look closely at materials— is what later allowed me to design them to measure for specific applications.
